Our Season Pass Holder's only opening weekend is this Friday! Be ready to fill the chairs and the rope by knowing how we are adapting to the current COVID-19 MN executive orders.
- For this first weekend, it will be season pass holders only. Everyone needs a physical pass to be on the snow (this will be enforced)! If you haven't picked up your pass yet, make sure you reserve a time to do it this weekend. We have very limited space in the chalet, so be prepared for wait times. Reservations only, no walk-ups please.
- The latest executive order requires us not to have any warming areas in the chalet until after December 18. Your vehicle is your current chalet! This is where you will need to get ready, store your stuff, take any warm-up breaks, eat snacks, etc.
- The Skyline Chalet will be open only for pass pick-up by reservation, bathrooms, season lockers, and season rentals. The parking lot in front of the Skyline chalet will be reserved for families with children under 10 and seniors, 65 and older. Please be respectful of this.
- Food and beverage will not be available this first weekend, and the Grand Ave chalet or Nordic Center will not be open during Thanksgiving weekend (the Grand Ave Chalet Parking lot will be open).
- Masks must be worn at all times if you need to enter Skyline Chalet, while in line at the lifts, at the top and bottom of Lone Oak rope park, and any other location that social distancing is difficult to follow.
- We're in this together, and we need your help. We have very limited terrain this first weekend, and we have no desire to create any crowded spaces. We will have Bindle Stiff (top to bottom) and Lone Oak Terrain Park open. The Spirt Express and the Lone Oak Rope will be the only two lifts running. Please keep in mind there will be no beginner terrain this first weekend. Only those in the same family groups will be able to ride together on lifts, so there may be extended wait times. Please do your part. Take a break if things get busy or limit your time this first weekend.

Who’s excited that opening week is only one week away? We are for sure! But even with the excitement of opening day, we need to be realistic about what our first days will look like this year. While most of us won’t complain about 70-degree weather in November it did put a small damper on snowmaking which has affected how much terrain is available. Then the new executive orders to reduce COVID in MN and our community have been established. Both of these pieces lead to an opening that may look a bit different than in recent years and we need your support to keep this weekend and our season safe.

Now for the details of our opening weekend. We will be reserving the 2020 opening weekend for our season pass holders only. There will not be any beginner terrain available during this first weekend and the plan is to have Bindle Stiff and the Lone Oak terrain park only.

Only pass holders who have picked up their pass will be allowed to be on snow. If you do not have your pass yet, we have added time slots throughout the Thanksgiving weekend to pick up your pass at the Skyline chalet. We will not be accepting walk in pass pick-ups as our indoor space has been limited and we are working hard to keep both our guests and employee’s safe.
